We take care of things that matter to us.  Our car, business, friendships, body.  We tend and nourish to show they're a priority. 

But most of us don't take this approach when it comes to love.  We assume all the defaults we operate on will get us where we're hoping to go- without ever putting in work.

So far too many people end up in couples therapy retroactively (long after problems take hold). By then small things have often bloomed into a heap of trouble.  It often takes a lot of work, time, and money to resolve.  

I am a big believer in proactive relationship wellness.  Proactive means investing in your relationship's health before problems arise.  LIke visiting the dentist for a cleaning so you don't end up with a root canal. 

Like getting a tune-up for your car to avoid costly problems later on down the road, seeing a professional before your relationship faces major problems aligns your values (the relationship) and your actions for high-integrity and lasting love.



Proactive work lasts because it identifies issues before the miscommunication and resentment become damaging.  

People who choose proactive relationship work are ready to walk their talk.  Instead of just claiming to "work on my shit" these folks are willing to take action for change.
